Bobby Angel talks about why giving thanks is so important, and why we shouldn’t just skip over Thanksgiving. Imagine if God took away everything you never said “thank you” for… It’s no secret that people love to complain. It’s certainly much easier to look at the things you don’t have than appreciate the things you do. But gratitude is something that cannot be overlooked, especially during the holiday season. In America, we tend to jump over Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas. But if we don’t stop and appreciate what we’re grateful for, then all the presents and gift-giving during Christmas just seems like more stuff. Gratitude is especially important when talking about our Christian faith. Our Church is built upon gratitude, and it’s through thanksgiving that we give glory to God for all he has given us—and continues to give us every day. God himself is a gift. He is pure love that came to live on earth and die a horrible death so that we may live with him forever in Heaven. The Eucharist specifically is a clear sign of God’s gift-giving nature, for it allows us to intimately unite with our Lord through the sacrament of Mass. Eucharist literally translates to “thanksgiving”. Just as St. Paul says in Acts 20:35, as Christians we are called to give thanks in all circumstances. It’s in our gratitude toward life and everything God has given us that we set ourselves apart from the world and show others the love of God. ❓ Have ideas for future videos ❓ Topics you want to hear about ❓ Questions you want answered ❓ Make sure to put #AskAscension in your comment 👍 — MORE FROM ASCENSION — 🔸Ascension’s main website: https://tinyurl.com/y2hxqqtk 🔸Ascension Media: https://tinyurl.com/y2coba4p 🔸The Great Adventure Bible: https://tinyurl.com/y6opo5em — SOCIAL MEDIA — 🔸Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AscensionPress/ 🔸Twitter: http://twitter.com/AscensionPress 🔸LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascension-press 🔸Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ascensionpress/ 🔸Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/c/ascensionpresents
